A Legacy Reimagined
Café Leon is more than just a café—it’s a cornerstone of Driffield Market Square. For over 30 years, this little gem has been a favourite spot for locals and visitors, known far and wide for its quality reputation, cosy atmosphere, and delightful food.
In 2023, Café Leon briefly closed its doors, but we couldn’t imagine Driffield without this beloved treasure. So, with a deep love for its history and a vision for its future, we decided to take on the reins and breathe new life into this cherished space.
Blending Tradition with Fresh Ideas
While we’ve kept the heart and soul of Café Leon intact, we’ve also infused it with our own passion for celebrating local flavours and building a warm, inclusive community.
From our locally roasted coffee to our famously packed toasties and weekly specials, everything we do is a nod to the café’s roots and a step toward evolving into something even more special.

From the outside, there is nothing to suggest the size and style of this cafe as it is upstairs. The chandeliers are grandmas are the floor tiles and it's pleasant watching the world (of Driffield) go by from a window seat as it's right in the centre of town. Service is good as was the coffee and toasted currant teacake. Relaxed atmosphere.

Nice clean and modern cafe we nearly missed it as only a doorway the cafe is upstairs but glad we found excellent sandwiches and coffee very clean excellent homemade cakes.

Very friendly place, lovely and clean and extremely friendly staff. Great choice of food and drinks. It was a really good-sized portion. I will definitely be returning and would recommend it to everyone. A lovely lunch experience.

Absolute Gem. We have visited here a few times now and they could not be more helpful and pleasant. The food is fantastic and all of the staff are really nice and helpful. My wife has a very strict diet which can be difficult at times, but not here, nothing is a problem at all. Give this lovely cafe a try, you will not regret it. 5*+++++

Our first visit to Leon's cafe whilst in Driffield this morning. Just called for coffee and also had piece of delicious Fruit loaf. Coffee, food, service, ambience all first rate (lovely staff) + Spotless WC. Will definitely be in again and have lunch next time. Super menu. A real treat to find such a delightful cafe. 10/10 5* Thank You all.
